Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions people ask most.

Is SyncPocket App free?

It is free during early access. The planned public-launch offer keeps every core feature free for up to 500 unique stored items. A one-time $19 Lifetime purchase removes the item and Board limits with no subscription. See Pricing.

What counts toward the 500-item Free limit?

Each unique stored item counts once, even if it is Pinned, Loved, Saved and assigned to several Boards. An item in Deleted still counts while it can be restored; it frees its place after permanent deletion or the 30-day cleanup. At the limit, SyncPocket App keeps all existing data and asks you to free a place or unlock Lifetime instead of silently deleting something.

Will the Lifetime price increase later?

The planned Early Adopter price is $19 once. After private iCloud sync, extensions and version 1.0 are polished, the planned price is $49. Early buyers keep their Lifetime entitlement and all future updates without paying the difference.

Where is my data stored?

Locally on the device running the app. On Mac, the archive lives at ~/Library/Application Support/MemoryApp; on iPhone it lives inside the app's local sandbox. iCloud sync keeps the two in sync through your own private iCloud account — never a server of ours.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There's nothing to sign up for.

Do my Mac and iPhone share the same history?

Yes — SyncPocket App keeps one memory in sync across your Mac and iPhone, through your own private iCloud account.

Is the iPhone app available?

It's in development, currently running in Apple's Simulator. See the iOS Companion page for details.

Which interface languages are supported?

English is the base interface language. Polish is included as the first full translation, and the app follows the language selected for it in iOS or macOS system settings. More translations can be added without changing the data format.

Why does it ask for the Accessibility permission?

Only to support pasting directly into the app you're using. It's optional — see Permissions.

When is old history removed?

Ordinary, unprotected items move to Deleted after 30 days by default. Settings offers 60, 90, 120 days and Forever. Anything pinned, on any Board, or carrying an uncleared reminder stays active regardless of age.

What happens when I delete an item?

It moves to the permanent Deleted Board, disappears from regular history and can be restored for 30 days. Its Pin and Board assignments are preserved for restoration, while its reminder is canceled. Choose Delete Permanently to remove it immediately; otherwise Deleted clears it automatically after 30 days.

What is the difference between Pin, Loved, Saved and a Board?

A pin keeps an item at the top and in the built-in Pinned Board. The heart adds to Loved, Save me adds to Saved, and the four-square action adds it to a custom Board. Pinned, Loved, Saved and Deleted are created automatically; every form of keeping protects an active item from automatic cleanup.

What happens when I open a reminder?

The local notification contains the stable item ID and opens that exact item's detail view. The reminder continues to protect the item until you explicitly clear it, so a delivered notification cannot point to something that was deleted automatically.

How do item actions work on iPhone?

Swipe left to move an item to Deleted, swipe right to pin, tap to open details and long-press for the full action menu. In Deleted, swipe right to restore or left to delete permanently. Recognized http/https links can be opened from details.

Can I stop SyncPocket App from remembering something specific?

Yes. Exclude the source app entirely in Settings, or rely on the automatic password-manager convention that most password managers already use. See Permissions.

How do I uninstall SyncPocket App?

Quit it from the menu bar icon, then drag it from Applications to the Trash. Full steps in Installing SyncPocket App.

Is my data safe?

SyncPocket App has no servers, no telemetry and no accounts — there's nothing of yours for us to see in the first place. Your history stays on your device.
